Metal Powder Coating Process Problem and Their Solution

Metallic powder coatings are attractive protective completes for metal finishing purposes. The multi-colored metal powders are often used with single request, and then it is top-coated with clear powder to improve the finish much more. 

Powder Coating contain metal flake or mica particulate issue that gives these coatings their specific physical appearance. These flakes and specifics are a free standing element. Metallic and mica powder coatings are homogeneously combined with a base color powder and are introduced to as Dry-Blended powders.

The issues faced with dry-blended powders are with color reliability, limited transmission in recessed areas, and their restricted ability to be reprocessed. Dry-blended powders are normally using a corona gun with a flat spray nozzle. Metallic powder coatings are highly processed by physically bonding them to the surface area of the powered coating. Generally, all of the metal particles are bonded, however some may not be strongly connected and can cause numerous problems in the finishing procedure. 

Bonded metallic powder has fewer lines than dry blended powders and is more easily recyclable. In addition, they also provide color that is more reliable after recycling and less snapshot frame effect, as well as a better transmission and higher transport efficiency. However bonded metallic and mica powder can be recycled, it is generally best to reduce the ration of recycled powder so that you will make the best possible complete. 

A metallic powder has some drawbacks associated with them. Firstly being that metal Powder Coating do have a propensity to look sustained with time. Another disadvantage is loading, which is an unmanageable loss of electrostatic high-voltage energy at the tip of the spray gun and happens because the metal powder has made a ground path through the powder hose for the high volts to go. To minimize loading, a specifically designed spray muzzle can be used if the quantity of metal in the powdered is not too much.
